B&W HTM4S

The B&W HTM4S is the smallest center speaker available in Bowers & Wilkins (B&W) top of the line 800 series of home audio speakers.  The B&W HTM4S is essentially the same speaker as the floorstanding 805S, but turned on it's side with an added feature of magnetic shielding.

  This is an ideal choice for a compact, high quality home theater system when paired with the 805S as L/R.  There is a 6.5" woven Kevlar cone for bass/midrange sound, and a freemounted 1" aluminum dome tweeter for high frequencies which sits on top of the main Matrix cabinet in a nautilus tapering tube.  This tweeter-on-top design eliminates reflections that may occur if the driver where placed in a conventional cabinet.  The Matrix cabinet uses interlocking panel-bracing to eliminate unwanted cabinet resonances that may color the sound.  The efficient mechanical design of this speaker allows for a simple and efficient crossover, reducing the electrical processing impact on the sound.  The B&W HTM4S is avaialable in three real wood veneers: cherrywood, rosenut and black ash; and comes with a removable black cloth grill.  The corresponding FS-HTM floor stand provides three tilt positions.
