There is a 6.5" Kevlar bass/midrange driver and a 1" alumiunum dome contained within the Matrix cabinet, which uses interlocking panel-bracing to eliminate unwanted cabinet resonances that may color the sound. The tweeter is contained in a Nautilus tapering tube, which is designed to only project sound through a hollow pole magnet frontwards, and is tapered towards the rear to eliminate reflections off the rear of the cabinet producing unwanted sound effects. The cabinet is designed shallower than other speakers in this line so it can be wall mounted with it's custom wall bracket. The speaker has also been balanced to accomodate the bass reinforcement produced by the nearby wall, making this a truly wall mountable speaker. The cabinet is avaialable in three real wood veneers: cherrywood, rosenut and black ash; and comes with a removable black cloth grill.
