The “V” in VM6 stands for “versatile,” describing the speaker’s ability to be used in portrait or landscape mode, sitting on a pedestal stand or mounted to a wall. The VM6 is built inside a black plastic cabinet, completed by a black mesh covering. The general consensus is that when this speaker is used in a surround sound system, they can be difficult to setup and configure. There are no speaker terminals to be found, one must thread the speaker wire into a connection at the very top of the speaker, which requires four different Allen keys (included). This speaker has a significant low-frequency response, rated at +/-3dB of 75Hz. It is widely agreed upon that this speaker has excellent sound quality, defined by substantial body and distinguishable bass, even without using a subwoofer.
