Bose CineMate GS Series II
Released August, 2009
The Pros:Bass subwoofer is strong and effective. Strong throughout the low, mid and high ranges. Easy to set up, nothing complicated or tricky about them.
The Cons:Still can't create the same surround effects that a 5.1 system can.
The Bose CineMate GS Series II is a 2.1-channel surround sound system consisting of an interface module, 2 Gemstone speakers, and an Acoustimass woofer module. It utilizes Bose’s proprietary TrueSpace technology to deliver a surround-sound experience with deep-fitted lows and squealing-like highs.

Included also is a universal remote control built to in-fact control not just the unit, but also the attached television and any other components — such as a VCR or DVD player — attached to the television. Note also that the system features VideoStage 5, Digital 5.1, and DTS decoding—allowing it to handle the improved realism from 5.1-encoded DVDs, DBS, or HDTV.
