It features 3 1/2" woofers made with ceramic and glass fiber polymer cones and Boston Acoustics' own 1" Kortec  soft dome tweeter. The same tweeter is found in the other two models in the A series, the A 25 and A 26, with the only difference being larger woofers in each version. 5-way binding posts make them compatible with different types of speaker wire including bare wire, pins, single and dual banana plugs and spade connections. Typical with Boston Acoustics bookshelf speakers are the glossy high-contrast scratch resistant finish, and the recessed mounting of the speaker components to maintain a flat front surface that won't induce acoustic refraction. Vertical and horizontal internal bracings effectively isolate the woofer from the tweeter which improves sound quality, and the magnetic grille covers further reduce audio interference.
