The first speaker in the Boston Acoustics HS series, the HS 40 can be used with an external amplifier (10-100 Watts recommended) to deliver rich, realistic sound that resonates across the room.

In addition, the HS 40 utilizes a Deep Channel Design for more bass per less amp power and a Reduced Baffle Distraction Design for wider/smoother sound dispersion. Although the HS 40 doesn’t look as sensational as the VS 240, it is overall a better speaker with more functionality and a higher crossover.
