Boston Acoustics HS225

The Boston Acoustics HS225 is a 2-way center speaker that sports dual 5.25” CoPolymer DCD subwoofers and a 1” Kortec soft tweeter. The fourth speaker in the Boston Acoustics HS series, the HS225 is designed to compliment either two HS 40 bookshelf speakers or two HS450 floor-standing speakers.

The HS225 maintains many of its peers’ features such as a Deep Channel Design for more bass per less amp power, a Reduced Baffle Diffraction Design for wider/smoother sound dispersion, and MagnaGuard video shielding. In addition, the HS225 utilizes 5-way gold-plated binding posts, adjustable feet, and built-in wall-mounting brackets to simplify the positioning/mounting process, not to mention a soft touch finish and an optional color-coordinated P.O.P. grille available for only $24.99. The Boston Acoustics HS225 is priced at $249.99, a whopping $650 savings from the lavishly-designed and super-elegant VS 325c. Although the HS225 doesn’t look as sensational as the VS 240, both models are practically equivalent in regards to specifications and functionality.
