Boston Acoustics RS 244C

The Boston Acoustics RS 244C is a high-end center channel speaker similar to the Boston Acoustics RS 223 LCR. While it lacks the ability to be used as a left/right-channel speaker like the RS 223 LCR, the RS 244C boasts improved frequency response (50Hz – 26kHz over 78Hz – 26kHz) and greater output (200W max rather than 150W).

Otherwise, the two speakers sport similar features, including an advanced cabinet design, smart tweeter technology and multi-composite woofer cones.

The RS 244C's advanced cabinet design utilizes Super Linear Plane (SLP) Baffles with super-shallow grilles to eliminate acoustic diffraction for an improved sound stage. Its smart tweeter technology provides the RS 244C with lower distortion, improved dispersion and greater clarity by way of Extended Wide Bandwidth tweeters with special central diaphragm termination and rear chamber venting. Meanwhile, the RS 244C's multi-composite woofer cones provide smoother response throughout its entire frequency range.
