Boston Acoustics Sub10F

The Boston Acoustics Sub10F is an installed subwoofer speaker that sports a 10” DCD CoPolymer subwoofer and can be mounted under a floor, behind a wall, or under a floor riser. Designed specifically to be used with the SA1 external subwoofer power amplifier, the Sub10F competes with the 250w HPS 10HO from the Horizon HPS series.

Although the Sub10F doesn’t feature an integrated amp like the HPS 10HO, it does offer an improved frequency range of 29Hz-160kHz (versus 35Hz-150Hz) and superior crossover frequency of 40-160Hz from the SA1 Amplifier (versus 40Hz-180Hz). In addition, the Sub10F is an omnidirectional speaker in that it can be placed facing any direction. The Boston Acoustics Sub10F is priced at $500.00, a $50 increase from the $449.99 HPS 10Ho. Keep in mind though that the Sub10F must be purchased with the $600.00 SA1 external amplifier, making the total price $1100.00. The benefit to the Sub10F, however, is easy and convenient placement in nearly any location in your home.
