It can, in fact, be used as either a Left/Right main speaker, as a center channel, or as a surround-sound speaker. Featured on the Mythos Eight are two HD 5-1/4” bass drivers pressure-coupled to two 5-1/4” planar low-bass radiators, allowing for a total bass-radiating surface greater than that of a conventional 10” woofer. The result is an extra-wide frequency range between 38Hz and 30kHz. Included also is a single Pure Aluminum dome tweeter that’s been heat-treated and then coated with ceramic to produce extended highs without a trace of edginess.
