Definitive Technology Mythos Five

Released January, 2010
The Definitive Technology Mythos Five is a hand-polished, aircraft-grade aluminum bookshelf speaker designed to complement a slim HDTV. It’s actually a slight downgrade from the superior Mythos Four.

It too features four mid/bass drivers, two of which are pressure-coupled to dual radiators. The difference is that whereas the Four uses 4-1/2” components, the Mythos Five relies on 3-1/2” drivers/radiators and a single 1” aluminum dome tweeter. Like its predecessor, the Five relies on D’Appolito Driver Arrays in narrow Polystone baffles that are voice-matched with other Mythos series speakers, meaning the Five can be combined with the One, Two, Three, etc. to create a full-fledged at home stereo system.
