The Definitive Technology Mythos Gem XL is an ultra-small stereo bookshelf speaker designed to complement a high-definition flat screen television. It’s essentially a “bigger, beefier big brother of the Mythos Gem.

” It too features a hand-polished, aircraft grade aluminum enclosure and is also voice-matched with other Mythos Series speakers, meaning it would function well as a surround speaker in a system composed of larger Mythos main speakers. However, the Gem XL hosts larger 4-1/2” high-definition mid/bass drivers that allow for a wider frequency range of 50 Hz – 30 kHz. Included also is a single Pure Aluminum dome tweeter and an easy-to-use keyhole slot bracket & screw for mounting the speaker to a shelf or wall, although an optional GemStand is recommended.
