Griffin Beacon Universal Remote Control System

The Griffin Beacon Universal Remote Control System is an iOS remote control device that can work with an iPad, an iPhone, or an iPod Touch. It’s essentially a tiny, battery-operated IR blaster that can transmit in 360 degrees, though it does require line-of-sight access to whatever device it’s controlling.

The signature feature of the Griffin Beacon is that once paired with an iOS device via a free App, users can easily and quickly control any device (think TV, gaming console, Blu-ray player) directly from their iOS unit. In addition, the Beacon was built with a premium GUI, in that users can create macros, drag and drop on-screen controls for any AV equipment into the interface, and save and download their remote settings to as many devices as possible.
