After configuring, a number of activity-based controls become available that include basic general commands such as "Watch TV", "Watch A Movie", "Listen To Music" or "Play A Game". Prompts are controlled via a series of swipes and taps, enabling simple control of volume levels, channel switching, playback cueing and more directly from a smartphone or tablet. The included "Mini Blaster" peripheral provides control of devices that are not in view, a feature tailored to users with covered cabinet-style entertainment setups. More than 5000 brands are natively supported by the Harmony Link, with frequent updates available automatically through the Logitech "My Harmony" website. The system is also capable of learning pre-existing IR (infrared) controls that may be mapped to other universal remotes or specific device remotes, helping to further simplify the setup process. The unit remains powered on at all times, and offers immediate functionality due to its home Wi-Fi network connectivity.
