The RS6 woofer and midrange driver incorporate new edge-wound voice coils to provide increased efficiency, output, and power handling. The voice coils have more copper and heat capacity than other voice coils resulting in 90dB efficiency and 120-watt power handling for the RS6. The speaker’s dynamic range is increased because the ‘start-and-stop’ of the voice coil more efficiently converts incoming signal into motion.
The RS6’s 2½-way design is optimized by an integral structure of dedicated driver chambers providing increased bass extension while maintaining high overall efficiency.
Other RS6 features include:
- Woofer and midrange driver chassis made of a non-magnetic, glass-infused cast polymer to damp unwanted resonance.
- Bi-wire ‘ready’ gold-plated cable terminals.
- Rigid MDF plinth for stability, including adjustable feet and a choice of spikes or rubber pads.
- Smooth, contoured cabinet edges and quality finishes on all surfaces. All Silver models are available in Rosenut, Walnut, Cherry, or Black Oak ‘matched’ wood veneers. Matched pairs use wood sheets cut from the same log section to assure color and grain consistency.
