The Philips SRU5108 is a universal remote control from Philips' 5000 Series that can control up to 8 types of AV devices.  The remote is compatible with TV, DVD, DVR, SAT, VCR, Cable, Audio, and AUX and can work with any brand of device since 1990.

  It differs with the SRU5107 since it is specially designed for use with Home Theater setups and features standard HT buttons including +/-, AM/FM, CD, DVD, DVR, and Mode keys.  The remote also has LED illumination of the primary keys making it easy to control in the dark.  The SRU5108 is easy to setup and automatically memorizes the setup codes entered so that they will not have to be entered if the batteries are replaced.  It also has integrated learning keys that are able to store functionality for future devices.  The remote comes with a limited lifetime warranty.
