Pioneer S-2EX

The Pioneer S-2EX are high end three-way bookshelf or stand-mounted loudspeakers from Pioneer's EX Speaker Series that have a maximum power output of 200 watts.  The speakers feature a 1-3/8" beryllium dome tweeter mounted concentrically inside a 5-1/2" magnesium cone midrange and two 7-1/16" aramid composite woofers to provide a wide frequency range of 34 - 100,000 Hz.

  They are approximately 22" tall and are designed with an aerodynamic frame and a curved bass reflex enclosure which provides rigidness to the structure.  The S-2EX include high performance magnet circuits and are magnetically shielded allowing them to be placed near video devices.  The speakers come in a beech or dark teak veneer with a satin finish and black cloth grille and have a price tag of $6000 per pair.
