The Pioneer S-IC821D is an 8” in-ceiling speaker described as offering “a home entertainment experience currently unmatched by any manufacturer” when combined alongside equivalent audio and video products.

The third of four Pioneer S-IC in-ceiling speakers, the Pioneer S-IC821D is an upgrade from the Pioneer S-IC621D and Pioneer S-IC631D in that it features a larger 8” (versus 6.5”) Polypropylene woofer. In addition, the S-IC821D sports dual 1” pivoting PEI tweeters and a humidity resistant dual voice coil design that that provides single-point stereo performance in all sorts of environments. The S-IC821D also boasts an 8+8 Ohm impedance rating for higher-quality amplification with single and multi zone applications, internal Thermal Resetting Protection Circuitry that offers greater reliability and reduces the need for frequent visits to replace damaged speakers, and 2-position treble contour controls to customize high frequency outputs to an individual’s specific tastes. The Pioneer S-IC821D retails for a more expensive $225.00 for one (versus $375.00 for two) speaker and comes with a 1 year limited warranty.
