Universal Remote MX-3000

$750.00 Released June, 2006

Product Shot 1 The Pros:Configured home theater components respond immediately - significantly reduces signal lag common to many Logitech and Harmony remotes. Touchscreen is vivid and responsive - particularly excellent during initial setup/device configuration. Unit is truly customizable - graphic interface functions similarly to that of a smart phone (contrast/brightness control, number of applications on home screen, size of applications, etc.).

The Cons:Setup interface may be difficult to operate for some users - requires in-depth manual referencing. Build quality is rather low for the price point - unit would likely suffer irreversible damage if dropped onto a hard floor from the waist up.

The Universal Remote MX-3000 is a high-powered, touchscreen remote engineered for automating & controlling home theater systems. Both lightweight and elegantly designed, the MX-3000 utilizes a 206MHz RISC microprocessor designed to enable quick, fluid page transitions and animated macros on its 3.5” (320x240) touchscreen.

Very notable about this device is the ability to customize buttons via user images (e.g. BMPs, JPEGs, etc). Even more substantial is the MX-3000’s advanced RF technology, which ensures seamless communication between the remote and components, making it much easier to process long macros. Instead of having to point the remote at the appropriate components (e.g. DVD player, television) until the macro completes, the user merely initiates the macro and the MX-3000 handles the rest. The Universal Remote MX-3000 retails for $749.95 and comes with a 1 year limited warranty.
