The Universal Remote RF20 also features one-touch macro programming, allowing users to program multiple functions into a single button, and the LCD screen displays any predefined or custom labels for the programmable keys next to it. The remote runs on four AAA batteries, and retails at $120. The Universal Remote Control RF20 was launched June 2006.
Universal upgraded the firmware on the RF20 in 2010. The newer remotes can't be cloned from the old remotes. In other words, if you have an old remote you can't simply use the CLONE command to copy all the commands on it to an RF20 with the newer firmware. The RF20 with the old firmware had FCC ID: OZ5URC-200 on the back of the remote. The RF20 with the new firmware haS FCC ID: UZ5URCRF20N.
