"Quick Set-up" helps to reduce configuration time by searching for compatible units in the area and applying automatic controls mappings based on common control layouts. One-button "Macro" functions are available that will turn on multiple devices simultaneously, providing quick access to digital television, DVD and Blu-Ray disc playback and multi-channel audio systems within a single command set. Five separate channels can be configured and stored within the URC-A6's "My Favourites" section, while the "Learn" function enables the remote to import existing control schemes. The use of infared light technology allows the A6 to send commands across considerably long distances, providing full support of larger, more distanced setups.
